Simple Marketing Plan for Coaches: How One Weekly Article Powers Your Entire Marketing Strategy.

I used to dread marketing. Seriously.

Mostly because I felt lost as to where to begin or how to make it all purposeful and effective. The thought of managing articles, emails, social posts, podcasts, and trying to stay consistent, made me want to crawl in bed and hide under a blanket.

(I may have done that a time or two.)

If you’re nodding your head right now, you know exactly what I mean. Marketing felt scattered, overwhelming, and like something I was constantly failing at.

Then I decided to radically simplify.

Here’s what made a massive difference for me: I started creating just ONE main piece of content each week: my anchor article. This guided everything else.

Here’s exactly how I do it:

1. Start With One Anchor Article

Every Sunday, I write a single article. That’s my “core content piece.” Because it’s just one thing, my brain can handle it. It sets a clear topic and provides direction for the entire week.

No more wondering, “What should I post today?” (and it’s already 4 pm). This anchor article is my starting point. Simple, clear, doable.

2. Easy Content Multiplication

From this ONE article, everything else flows:

  • Emails: I take key ideas, stories, or points from the article and turn them into emails that genuinely connect with my subscribers. Because the thoughts are already clear in my head, this step is easy, not draining. And I can use the IEP method that I wrote about previously.

  • Social Posts: Quick tips, quotes, or reflections from the article become ready-to-share social media posts. Again, no new brainstorming needed, I’m just repurposing what I already wrote.

  • Podcast Episodes: Each article naturally becomes a podcast episode outline. This means minimal prep and no reinventing the wheel. Yes, it’s the “same” content, but now I get to make more commentaries on it, laugh, share stories, and just have fun with it.

  • What do you want to create? You will have your own mix, so how can you leverage one piece of content to make it easier?

It’s really is that simple. One good idea can expand into multiple formats seamlessly.

3. Small Systems & Automation for Big Wins

Here’s the other systems I’ve put in place to create smart shortcuts.

  • Quarterly Launch Cycles: I run my Happy & Successful Business Mastermind on a rinse-and-repeat quarterly launch schedule. I’ve removed the guesswork and the panic of “How do I get more clients!?” The structure is always there and my brain loves this.

  • Monthly List Growth Events: Every month, I participate in events like bundles, summits, or guest appearances. Because these are pre-planned monthly events, they consistently bring in fresh eyes to my work. This steady list growth means I’m always getting new potential clients without scrambling or feeling frustrated because there’s no growth happening.

  • AI Shortcuts & Simplification: I leverage AI tools to quickly handle tasks like market research, content outlining, or even generating fresh ideas. It’s like having an extra brain, without losing more mental energy.

These micro-systems remove friction, save massive amounts of time, and help me keep my sanity intact.

4. The One Simple Plan to Rule Them All

The really good part is having all of this simplified goodness in ONE clear marketing plan.

I use two straightforward spreadsheets to manage and plan when everything goes out: articles, emails, social posts, newsletter podcasts, quarterly launches, and monthly list growth. Everything is in two spots, easy to reference, and ready to follow. In my marketing system and calendar, I literally scroll to the day of the week and look at what needs to go out. Most of the time, it’s already scheduled, but if not, it’s maybe 30 minutes of work, max.

Having a clear, manageable plan helps me feel and see the progress happening. And that’s huge for keeping going. When things get busy or confusing, I just glance back at the plan.

The Outcome: Peace of Mind & Real Results

Today, marketing feels easier. It’s almost relaxing. (Almost.)

Because I simplified, I’m consistently visible, attracting clients, and growing my business without feeling frustrated and exhausted.

And I can see the results happening, more sales, more clients, more engagement. It’s SO exciting and it makes me want to keep going. (See how that works?)

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, take a deep breath and consider this: What would happen if you drastically simplified your marketing?

For those of you who are thinking… who are you kidding? I don’t do any of that yet!

Well, for you, what would happen if you created a simple, doable plan and started generating significant growth?!

Do you have to do everything I do? No. I didn’t start here. I built it up over time and you will too.

Give yourself permission to start small, leverage one core content piece, and build your systems bit by bit.

It will give you more relief, belief, and forward momentum than you realize.
